If I knew then what I know now


Most people who workout would be able to say these words to themselves.

MY WORKOUT HISTORY

I am no different. Over the years through

a) learning

b) wasted time and effort

c) mistakes and injuries


I have developed timely and very productive ways to train for specific objectives.

Previously I went to the gym virtually every day. Changing circumstances and lack of desired results forced me to rethink how I trained.


This website developed from that rethink and has been created


1) For people

a) Searching for a way to achieve specific training goals

These goals can be

  • Health
  • A feeling of wellness
  • Exercise
  • Fitness
  • Strength
  • Muscle
  • Fat loss
  • Assistance with a sport/hobby/pastime
  • Any combination of the above.


b) Who want the benefits of exercising but lack or dislike the time and effort involved.

Many people have numerous demands on their time/energy/finances and need ways of making the most of what they have available.


c) Regardless of age, gender, knowledge, enthusiasm, circumstances.



2) To provide simple and concise information which will

a) Simplify the theory of physical exercise, sport etc


b) Show effective and time efficient ways of exercising, allowing people to get on with their lives.


c) Enable everyone to improve their physical health and maintain a high quality of life.


d) Develop all attributes of wellbeing, health, fitness etc in an integrated manner. This is more than building e.g. strength, flexibilty, fitness, aesthetics, and health simultaneously. It is progressing towards a healthy and visually pleasing body which has e.g.

  • Enduring strong flexibility
  • Flexible enduring strength

where all the above attributes are working together seamlessly as "one unit" rather than being strong and flexible and possessing endurance.


e) Train in a way which focuses on performing daily tasks easier and better with the additional benefit of achieving the state described in point d) above.


The site's presentation is deliberately unsophisticated in accordance with my approach to health and fitness. I want to present results based information without fancy "clutter". Videos of exercises etc have been excluded. There is more than enough already on the web.





To summarise :

I want to help you move up the learning curve, and train in a way which

a) Will produce the results you want

b) As fast as possible

c) Using the program most relevant to you

d) Avoiding wasted time, mistakes and injuries


I am not promising that people will achieve their goals after a week or a month. Even a relatively small ship which wishes to change direction takes some time to do so.


"Fast Workout Results"

a) means that fairly soon you should signs of improvement in your health, fitness level, performance, muscle, strength, body fat etc. Consistent and persistent application will enable you to build upon these signs.

b) sessions are short in duration.

c) is more than just a list of routines. It will provide information which will improve the effectiveness of whatever workout you follow.


Underpinning this approach is the principle of living the way your body evolved (training, eating etc). Doing so will produce the outcomes you desire far more easily than working against it.

Although I have my views and opinions I have tried to provide options and alternative approaches before outlining what I believe is the most productive information and methods.


CONTENT, STRUCTURE and LAYOUT

Following the site's objective of providing simple, relevant and useful information I  have tried to eliminate "padding", only including as much information as necessary.

Site under construction - apologies for any gaps or apparent inconsistencies. In time as more information is added the whole site should "hang together".

Initially the focus will be on general information which should assist with achieving results regardless of the approach you take in working out.
